There is obviously safety issue there like a door giving access to my house when no one in front of it but i do not want to deal with this right now.

There are two parts of a garage door monitoring system.
The photo eye components consist of two pieces that align face to face across each side of the garage door roughly four feet above the ground.
Measure the dimensions of the door frame and build a stud wall on the ground to match these dimensions using the 2 by 4 lumber screws and drill.
Plus if a car is already parked in my garage like my wife s car the door won t open.
Screw through the lip on the side of the door into the studs that frame the door.
A quick check of the device and you would know the state of your garage door you would know whether you had closed it or not.
In order to fix this you ll want to make small changes to the close limit setting until the door opener knows to stop once the door has reached the floor.
