Copper glue solutions cyberbond is highly regarded for setting the strictest requirements for all of the adhesives we produce.
Gluing copper sheet.
Scrub thoroughly and remove all grease and other grime from the sheet metal.
Gently scuff sand the back of the copper veneer with 80 or 120 grit sandpaper.
Step 1 lay the two sheets you will be gluing together on a flat surface and pour acetone onto a clean rag.
Apply adhesive to the prepared surface as the manufacturer directs.
Do not apply the adhesive to the copper.
Cyanoacrylate adhesives or instant adhesives are ideal for bonding copper.
Position the pieces and press together.
Prefit the parts to make sure there are no big gaps.
Soak a rag in lacquer thinner and thoroughly polish the newly etched surface with it.
Apply the adhesive to the porous substrate with a glue roller.
Remove any dust dirt wax oil or grease including fingerprints.
The highest strength bonds are created with methyl cyanoacrylates such as the original permabond 910.
Rub the rag over the entire surface of the two sides of sheet metal you will be gluing together.

Paint a thin layer of adhesive onto the entire etched surface of the copper sheet.
Clean the metal.
Take care to not touch your bare fingertips to the surfaces to be bonded.

Apply the metal glue.
In a well ventilated area thoroughly wash the back side of the copper with water or acetone using a steel wool or synthetic steel wool scotch brite pad.
